What We Do

To be sure CPSA provides measurable value to physicians and their patients, the Research & Evaluation team partners with other continuing competence staff to identify opportunities for improvement.

What Makes a Good Doctor?

You spoke. We listened. We asked members what makes a good doctor. Learn what your colleagues said below.

We applied what you told us to a new practice evaluation approach coming in Fall 2016. This new approach will offer new tools, collaboration and resources to better support your practice.

Practice Review Pilot Research Report

The Health Professions Act (HPA) mandates the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) to regularly review physicians practice as part of the CPSA's Continuing Competence Program. To date, the main tool for the task has been to Physician Achievement Review (PAR) program. Recent feedback indicates that a different process may be of more value and relevance to our members.
