90th Annual North/South Doctors’ Golf Tournament was a huge success thanks to generous sponsors and donors!

Physicians and health care leaders from across the province teed off Monday, June 26th at Red Deer Golf & Country Club. Together with sponsors, they raised over $69,000 for medical student bursaries – the largest amount raised in the tournament’s history. Best of all, the proceeds will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the relationships of the organizing committee.

Participants enjoyed a great day of breakfast, golf, lunch and prizes. World Long Drive Champion (2014), Vinny “The Pasta Man” Ciurluini, wowed our guests and helped raise money by accepting donations in exchange for taking golfers’ first drives on a tough par 5.

Eleven medical students and residents were sponsored by the CPSA to join in the fun! They enjoyed the chance to show off their golf skills and network with CPSA and AMA staff.

Thank you to all participants and sponsors for making this year’s tournament a success. See you on the links in 2018!

The Annual North/South Doctors’ Golf Tournament is co-hosted by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta, Alberta Medical Association and Canadian Medical Foundation.
